Silver Foil
Silver foil has many different applications from uses in fuses to decorative jewellery and electronics. Silver is a very soft metal which has the highest conductivity of any metal.
Silver has always been of high value throughout history in a number of ways, its value in history traces back its origins to being that of coins and bullion. However in today’s high-tech environment is has much more of a practical value, in particular in the electronics industry, but also in medicine as an antibiotic coating in dressings.
Avocet Precision Metals are able to supply precision silver foil, in widths up to 350mm and thickness’s down to 0.08mm.
All material is produced to specification and so mechanical properties and surface requirements can be tailored depending on the application and production process of our customers. As well as supplying bare silver foil, this can also be clad with other materials too, such as copper or aluminium.
