Dumet Wire
A Dumet wire consists of a nickel-iron core with an Oxygen Free High Purity copper sheath. They are available with a range of surface finishes including oxidised, borated, bare and nickel plated.
The Dumet wire forms the metal component of the glass to metal seal during the manufacture of lamps. Our partners JLC Electromet are one of the market leaders in manufacturing Dumet wires, from smelting the nickel-iron core to final wire draw size.
